The Youtube flood is baffling, because Youtube is still an ongoing thing. Why do these videos even need to be posted at archive.org? Their sheer number makes it essentially impossible to find the genuine oddball goodies for which archive.org's Ephemeral section is known.
Why can't the Youtube video listings be confined to their own location, so I can quickly and easily find new selections such as the enchanting SEPTIC SYSTEM HILL-SIDE INSTALLATION without combing through hundreds of Youtube videos which are already on Youtube??

I'm afraid I'm only able to answer some of your questions but I hope you find them helpful.
Youtube videos are now showing in Ephemeral Films because my Youtube Archive was recently added to the collection. While I was not behind the decision I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
While YouTube itself shows no indications of ending any time soon the same cannot be said for some content hosted on the service. The majority of items in the Youtube Archive collection are there because they either provide information not easily found elsewhere (such as this channel which contains information on motherboard repair) or there is reason to believe that the original content on youtube will likely disappear. (Such as this channel which belongs to a now closed website)
While not ideal this search may serve as a stopgap.
